The Buckeye Fire Department hosts a water/pool safety day once a year, around the beginning of summer time, that educates the ABC's of pool safety (Adult, Barrier, and Classes). The fire department will team up with the Buckeye Aquatic Center and teach the importance of adult supervision by never letting children out of sight because two seconds is too long. They will explain that pool fences and barriers are needed with every pool or large amounts of standing water. They also offer CPR classes and encourage everyone to be ready when around water.
